Best tool I’ve used to improve my golf swing
Beginner golfer. This tool alone helped me break 100
Great warmup tool
My game still stinks but my back is ready for the round.
My husband has always wanted one of these and loves it. Seems a little pricey, but meets the need and works as expected. Good Christmas gift. He uses in empty garage, which is nice in winter, as well as outside. .
Works really well
I’m in my 60’s now and I use this daily to keep my flexablity and mussel’s streched so when I plan im not as stiff.
Good for practice
I recently purchased the Orange Whip trainer to help with my flexibility and hopefully improve my golf swing. First off, I’m a high handicapper and don’t play much, but when I do get to play oftentimes I am off balance and out of sorts when I swing the club. Especially longer clubs like driver / 3 wood and rescue club. I had seen good reviews for the Orange Whip and thought that this may help me with my balance and improve my overall timing. Although I have not had a chance to play golf since I have purchased it, I have been swinging it almost everyday since. And I do think it is doing what I hoped it would do. Balance and tempo seem to be improving and I’m looking forward to getting out to the course soon. I’m glad I got it……..now if I can just learn to putt!
Great for loosening before swing a club
I bought this two weeks ago. I have used it to loosen up after I stretch to hit range balls. When I am home I swing it about ever other day 20 to 25 times and increase my tempo with each swing. The one thing is has benefitted is now I start my down swing after I push my left forward.(I am right handed.) I was not doing that consistently. I can feel the weighted ball at the end of the whip through the entire swing sequence. Excellent training aid if for nothing else to fell the whip through whole swing.
Great Warmup Tool
I have been using the Orange Whip for a couple weeks now and I really enjoy how quickly it gets me feeling warmed up before a round. Our league starts teeing off at 4:40 on Mondays so it’s frequently a rush to get the day wrapped up at work and make it to the course, and I never have time to hit a bucket of balls or anything before a round. 5-10 minutes of swinging the whip gets me feeling about as ready to tee off on 1 as I would after hitting the range. I’m not sure about the whole ‘it will feel weird if your swing mechanics are bad’ bit- but maybe I just have ok enough mechanics that I’ve never noticed it. The only downside is everyone sees it and wants to play with it before the round when I’m trying to use it to warm up!
After researching the Whip I decided to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods to try one out. I didn’t think it would be worth the price and probably something I could fabricate myself anyway. I was wrong on both counts. The Whip is an amazing device that lives up to the hype. It’s the best warm up before a round on the course. It gently stretches and works the golf muscles as you swing the full motion golf swing. It promotes rythm and tempo and coaxes you through the full swing follow through with its weighted whip effect. I leave it near the garage door and every time I pass it I pick it up and do a dozen reps. It works, and it’s fun!
Excellent swing trainer!
The simple warm up exercises that are recommended are very helpful towards building flexibility, swing routine and muscle memory for developing a consistent swing. Start out slow with low reps then build up to greater reps concentrating on a smooth, consistent swing in both directions.
