The artificial turf creates a protective barrier to keep balls from denting or damaging your floors and can provide a great walking and putting surface for your simulator.
Add one to your simulator to protect the area directly below the screen, or add 2 to fill the area between your screen and your hitting mat.

Turf Landing Pad 5×12
Well, i haven’t had that much experience with it because i haven’t received my skytrak yet. , However, just hitting into the net, i’ve found the turf to offer excellent coverage. Sometimes the ball will bounce too much off the turf. I’ve got it covering hard wood floor and the ball will bouce high instead of absorb. Meanwhile, Everything is set up and ready to plug in the skytrak whenever it shows up. Hope my comments help. paul

There are no gaps between tee and screen so I can relax on all shots regardless of kick back distance. The balls seem to gather on the second turf more than the first one so again it is a major plus.
