    Solid Putting Green

I was in the market for a new putting green for the office since the old one was pretty beat up. I came across several fairly priced options, with the one most similar to the old putting green being listed here on Amazon as well. After reading the reviews, it gave me flash backs of the same problems we’d already have with the current green; it wrinkled up easily, the end of the green wouldn’t stay down for extended putts, and the felt material was cheap and creased up pretty easily.

Great for practising putting at home

I have had the product for about a week now – it arrived the day before we went into lockdown 2.0 – and have had some really good fun with it already. I feel like it really helps to improve putting stroke by helping you to gauge your stroke against the straight lines on the mat. Trying to get rid of any arc in my putting stroke is the aim here.

  8. Evelyn

    Good product

    Has helped my putting remarkably.
Handicap 6. Gives confidence in your alignment.

  9. Alexander

    Amazing practice green!

I absolutely love this mat. I used it over the winter to help work on my putting stoke and paired it with a PuttOut trainer. Now golf season is here and my putting has improved. My lags are much more precise and I’ve drained quite a few ten footers already. I really like the speed of the mat. It has two different speeds one kinda fast and the other is a little slow. One thing to note, this mat should be used on hardwood floors or very low/hard carpet. It did not work well out in the living room carpet. I had to stand off the side of the mat and putt that way, if you walk on it on carpet it moves around too much. But it putts like a dream on my kitchen hardwood and doesnt move at all and stays flat. I also put it back in the box after every practice and roll it out again the next time and it has always been pretty dang flat except sometimes I have to smooth the edges once with my hand. LOVE this mat and it had improved my game!

    Awesome!

Can pick up and take anywhere in the house, holes are raised to make putting a little more realistic and great length

Even if you don’t have the time to make it to the course, an indoor putting green is a great solution. Putting is arguably the most important part of your game as it usually makes up 35-55% of all your shots! But is usually the least practiced skill among golfers.

How to build a Custom Putting Green

  7. Step 7: Trim turf and cut cup holes. …
  8. Step 8: Adding Ball Stop.

The turf used in Tour Greens putting greens features polypropylene fibers that are designed to resist the harmful effects of rain, snow, ice, and sun. With proper and regular maintenance (once or twice a year), your green can last 15 years or more.

With a backyard putting green made from synthetic turf, you can work on your golf game anytime you want. … Instead, spend your time playing golf. For a budget-friendly option, install a small DIY putting green with a single hole for practice. Create multiple holes in a larger yard.

Allow the adhesive to cure (see manufacturer’s specifications) before placing turf on desired surface. Make sure you have a room temperature of no less than 80 degrees. Once the green is in place, use a seam roller or light water roller to roll the whole green repeatedly for the first hour.

They normally come in at around 6ft, but can vary to be much longer if you have the space. Also think about how fast the greens are at your home golf course. Most of these mats run between 9 and 10 on the stimp meter so try to match the putting mat as closely to the greens you most frequently putt on.

So Utley recommends practicing at home with rails on either side of the putter—he uses alignment sticks, but rulers or any other straight-edged objects will work. “Then you can practice stepping in to your stance and lining up the face of the putter 90 degrees to your target every time.

Four Fundamental “Elements” of Putting Skill
  • READING THE PUTT: pick an effective target to aim at.
  • AIMING THE PUTTERFACE AND BODY: aim the putterface and the setup straight at the target.
  • ROLLING THE ROCK: putt straight away from the putterface.
  • CONTROLLING DISTANCE: putt with good touch or distance control.

Using a few tees — either by placing them outside the heel and toe of your putterhead, and/or trying putt your ball through a set if tees — is a very common way pro golfers practice.

But the most important reason is that by lifting the putter, as Rickie also later told Golf Digest, it prevents you from using the ground as a “balance point”. … By lifting the putter, he’s releasing the tension, and increasing his chances of a nice, smooth putting stroke.

My grandson uses it everyday to practice putting on. It’s well made. Their floor covering is stone tiles. Your patio would be perfect and winter shouldn’t hurt it, as it’s an Astro turf. It rolls up easily, also

It was better quality than I thought, but the cups are just cut-outs. My husband really liked it as a Rainey day option. (He’s an avid golfer). We bought ours for a golf themed party, and they’ve stuck around long after. Its a fun gift.

In the 1-(pack) you’ll pay for & receive one putting green. In the 5-(pack) you’ll pay for & receive five putting greens. It’s speaking of the quantity of the product.

Weight was about 4 lbs.; The rolled up mat came in a box 34 x 7 x 7.; I guess you could carry it around in a back pack.
