Hello Miriam, The Truestrike does not allow you to use your own tees. The only mats we have that do allow it are the Fairway Series and the SIGPRO mats.

Hello Don, If you buy the Net as a stand alone item it does not come with the side barriers, and you would need the universal side barriers. Any of the the launch monitors will work in a garage, as long as you have to ceiling height. I would let your budget help make that decision, especially with a range of $2K-$20K for the launch monitors.

Quality vs. Price
For the amount of money this mat costs, the quality certainly is what I expected. All the individual panels are warped like a banana and are not held together with much of anything to keep the mats connected to the plastic frame.

Cannot use as shown … but a good mat nonetheless
The photo of the TrueStrike golf mat shows the “gel section” in a position that cannot be used when using longer clubs (driver, fairway woods), because your feet will be off the mat! In order to use it with longer clubs and keep your feet on the mat, the gel section must me installed next to the ball tray. Then … my SkyTrak launcher has no where to sit! I had to cobble together a platform to sit on top of the ball tray. Still fussing with it so the launcher is stable. I would suggest that TrueStrike consider placement of various launcher units, and alter the mat/ball tray design to accommodate them. After all that, it’s very good, very stable, and a big improvement over other hitting mats.

We bought two academy mats for my son and our academy, Luke Parsons World Champion Golf Academy. I am so Mad at myself for not buying it sooner. They are unbelievable. We use Trackman in our facility and have found that the true strike mats are incredibly reliable and accurate and do replicate hitting off true grass. At our Academy we did a little study comparing a track man session off the true strike gel Mat and off the champion bermuda tee Box we have just outside the Academy. I tried several different hitting mat options and I was finally able to get the one I wanted from the beginning. Due to current pandemic it was hard to get this earlier this year. I lived with the other options and when I saw it would be available starting November 4th I ordered without hesitation. Glad I did as this is the best option for me given my setup. Feel is great and acts like it does on real grass.

Quality mat

This mat is definitely at the high end of simulator golf needs. It’s built very sturdy and was packaged well on delivery. They promised a delivery date of 3-4 weeks. It was delivered in 3 1/2 weeks as promised.
I’ve had the unit for a month and play a a lot of simulator golf and have zero issues with joint pain.
I’ll only add you may need to buy an extra section of matting to fit your feet on the mat for long clubs…..I barely fit
