Panasonic PT-VZ580U Features
1. Terminal Features   –  The PT-VZ580U features RCA composite video, two HDMI, and two VGA inputs to connect to nearly any device. Its analog audio input and output will allow you to pass sound through the projector to your sound system of choice, and one VGA input can instead act as an output to daisy-chain multiple projectors or displays together. The Net Return Home Series is controllable via the included remote control or Ethernet, with various control software options.
2. Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array Resolution  –  WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution renders a sharper and cleaner image compared to  today’s standard of 1080p (1920×1080).
3. Maximum Brightness  –  5,000 lumens for brighter displays. Ideal for well lit spaces such as garages with the garage door open.
4. High Contrast  –  16,000:1 contrast ratio. Add more depth to your image with a high-contrast projector. With brighter whites and ultra-rich blacks, images come alive and text is crisp and clear.
5. Stress Free Installation  –   This projector is equipped with a 1.6x zoom lens as well as a lens shift function that allows the user to project from a wide range of distances without distorting the image. This projector also utilizes horizontal, vertical, and corner keystone correction which helps adjust the image shape for clear visibility when projecting at an unusual angle.
6. Daylight View Basic  –  Proprietary technology delivers sharp, comfortably viewed images by enhancing fine details, particularly in dark areas of the image, which are normally difficult to see in brightly lit rooms. A built-in sensor measures ambient light while Daylight View Basic adjusts halftone color and brightness to suit ambient illumination.
7. Quiet Operation  –   Technologies combine to keep noise levels down to just 29 dB, so the sound of the cooling fan is hardly noticeable. This helps to keep attention focused on your golf game.
8. Low Maintenance Design  –   PT-VZ580 Series projectors are extremely efficient to run. Air filter replacement cycle is a class-leading 7,000 hours, and the unit can be washed and reused twice to minimize waste. Lamp life is also extended to 7,000 hours in ECO2 mode, meaning part refreshment can be performed together with filter maintenance to reduce downtime.

10 reviews for Panasonic PT-VZ580U Golf Simulator Projector

  1. Olivia

Really good projector for the price
We use two of these in our medium-sized sanctuary at church projecting onto 120” screens. We have an average amount of sunlight coming in the windows but they are bright enough, even with the sunlight, to run them in economy mode (runs the bulbs at a lower brightness for longer bulb life and fan speed/noise is reduced).

  2. Emma

    Great for a golf simulator
Im using it on a carls premium golf impact screen, the picture quality is very good, and it is crazy bright. I’ve played on a bunch of different golf simulators and this smokes all of them by a bunch.

  3. Oliver

    Excellent projector
This projector is great – even from close range, it can create a clear picture that’s very large!

  4. Noah

Can’t go wrong with this home or business.

This is an excellent project. For what it is it does great under ambient light. Controls are simple. Colors are good. Panasonic just makes good projectors.

    Daily use

Use this projector daily for work as an A/V property manager, works great for all uses up to and including gaming. For longer runs (more that 20 ft) our company policy to to run a powered SDI converter so that we lose no image quality. Keep in mind me do runs over 100ft and always have a quality image

  10. Benjamin

    Great projector

Great picture, great price for a home theater projector

Hello. Thank you for the question. For the Panasonic PT-VZ580U there are 2 HDMI Connections and the aspect ratio is 16:10 and throw ratio 1.09-1.71:1. Hope that helps. Cheers, Bob Hathaway – Optical Resources

Hello. Thank you for the inquiry. Yes this projector can do 4:3 ratio. Cheers. Bob Hathaway – Owner – Optical Resources

Hello. Thank you for the inquiry. Yes the Panasonic PT-VZ580U projector can do a 4:3 ratio.

Yes there are mounting holes for universal ceiling mount kits on the bottom of the projector. We used a Chief brand mount.

it worked absolutely great, we used it for a month, four days a week for the month of october.

It’s a wide screen projector so you’ll be limited by the width of your content. You’ll be able to get it 7 feet wide but it would only be about 4 feet tall. That throw distance seems like it should be no problem, pretty similar to the distance and size we use it.
