    Optoma EH200ST Golf Simulator Projector
Simple to use with good instructions on making option changes.

  2. Oliver

    Optoma EH200ST Golf Simulator
The item is very easy to set up and use. The picture is great! I use it in the garage and can use it in the afternoon or early evening with the garage door open. In the morning the reflection of the sun into the garage prohibits use with the garage door open.

  3. Noah

    excellent value for money

I use the projector to movies, mostly. Even with some clarity from window, the images are clear.

  4. Liam

Good projector brightness great even eco + mode and daylight

One of best options in the market

  5. Emma

    Awesome picture quality

Only thing I really dislike is that I’m trying to use my Apple TV to play some video games. And it is very slow may be due to my Wi-Fi not sure I would have to hook it up to a PlayStation or Xbox

  6. Alexander

    Great projector

I love this projector. Great picture easy to set up and put away and has built in speaker which is a nice touch when using E6 app.

  7. Evelyn

Excellent clarity from this projector, The rain and shine simulator package is the answer to stay at the top of your game.

Great entry projector for in home simulator.

My simulator is in my outside workshop/garage. The screen is 9’x12’ and I hangs from the ceiling joists that run 9’5” from the shop floor. This projector is mounted with the projector mount that Rain or Shine sells and sits about 7’ from the screen on center. Great image and color contrast when hooked up to hdmi cable on the iPad. And running e6 and flightscope software for my Mevo+. The remote works great and the projector itself is mounted high enough that the impact screen can still pivot high enough off the floor and be above the garage door when the garage door is opened. I know there’s projectors out there that cost around $6k but as an entry point into the home golf simulator DIY world, this is perfect for me.

  9. Isabella

Optoma Short Throw Projector in small space

The projector is great, and I have a small space with 9’ ceilings; so the projector is literally mounted to the ceiling without the extension arm. It is approximately 1’ in front of my head at address and it produces an image on the screen that fills the screen and it does a pretty good job of producing a viewable image even with the blinds open during the day. With the blinds closed and a little darker room, the image on the screen is exceptional; but it’s not everyday that you want to hit balls in the dark. Great product that I would recommend to anyone; but you definitely want to make sure that your friends are aware of the cost prior to having them over if space is limited. I don’t let anyone use my simulator, because it’s setup for me and me only. Call me selfish. Great product, and I would really like to invest in the foresight launch monitor when I have the room to actually have other people over to enjoy the simulator experience in a sim room that is dedicated to that purpose only when I build a house. This is perfect for what I am doing now.

So i’ve got my hdmi cable. And go ahead and plug that in we’ll take the power you’ll take the female end of the power cord and run that through boom we’re good to go.

However a native 4:3 aspect ratio goes hand-in-hand with lower resolution than anyone would want for a golf simulator. So as a practical matter, you’ll generally want to use a projector resolution that has a native 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio, and adjust the image to give you a 4:3 aspect ratio plus letterboxing.

The brighter your room is, the more important it is to have a high lumens projector. As a general rule of thumb, you can get by in dark rooms with lumens above 2000+ but we typically recommend getting a projector above 3000+ for the best golf simulation experience.

The best position for the projector will usually be roughly 4 feet behind the tee location, which makes the distance easy enough to figure out. However, the width of the simulator is a limiting factor, and thus you probably use a 16:9 or 16:10 projector to project a 4:3 image.

Look for projectors with high contrast to bring you the closest to the course. Resolution – All of the projectors at Shop Indoor Golf are 1080p, but there are also 4K options available. If you plan on using your projector for movies as well as golf, consider a 4K option for a better movie-watching experience.

In short, where do you need to mount it? You need a projector mounted far enough away from your swing area so you don’t hit it with the club or ball. You also need to avoid shadows by not mounting it directly behind you.

The theater features two projectors. A Sony laser projector for the golf simulator and a Sony 4K projector for theater viewing.

Ultimate SkyTrak SIG12 or GS13 studio – 4K laser projector

To light up the SkyTrak SIG12 with its massive display area over 160 inches, or enable the widescreen GS13 Studio to look like a giant 190” television, a true 4K laser projector is the perfect match for these screens.

16:9 is the most common aspect ratio used in a golf simulator impact screen setup. This is the standard aspect ratio used in newer television and computer monitors. An impact screen that is 16ft wide by 9ft high viewable area, would be able to show the entirety of a HD 16:9 image without any distortion.
