The Flightscope Mevo + is tremendously capable tool if you’re interested in taking your game improvement to the next level. At the range it looks like the data it collects is really accurate and corresponds to what I can see in the ball flight. I have the Pro package installed and it collects a lot of data parameters that I’m not really using yet. I’ve just set up my backyard driving range hitting into a 10×10 net thats about 13 feet away from the tee. It’s really great to see the full ball flight and the rest of the strike parameters even though the ball only flew 13 feet. It’s hard to know how accurate it is in this mode, but I think its a fantastic tool. I have found that the hardware is very forgiving about how far away from the radar device you strike the ball. Setting up the tee from my driver about 13 feet away from the net, I’m hitting the ball into roughly the middle of the net (which is mounted roughly 11 feet high down to about a a foot and half off he ground). If you try to hit wedges from this far away from the net, the balls would all fly over the top of the net, so I use a second mat placed in front of the mat I use for hitting the long clubs. As long as you keep the ball fairly close to same line as you’re teeing up your driver, I’ve found that it picks up lob wedges even though I’m hitting about 5 or 6 feet in front of where I’m hitting my driver from. It picks this up accurately without moving the radar device around. Which is super convenient.

I wish it were more intuitive to get going. I got it charged up and connected to the new iPad Pro I purchased for this but I had some frustration with just getting it going to hit a few shots. I just wanted to get a taste of what it will be like. I did get it going on the first session and it was really neat. I had another session with it two nights ago and again, it was a frustrating task just to get it going. I have watched some tutorials on YouTube and the capabilities of this device look absolutely awesome! I can’t wait to get over the learning curve and get to know it. I am devising how I can alter my outbuilding garage so I can hit shots and play golf courses this winter. I am excited about that.
