Heavy! Durable! Breaks down for portability – Awesome product
Heavy and durable….a great portable mat. The whole thing (all six pieces) weighs close to 60 lbs. so it’s not moving or going anywhere. I use Cobra one-length irons so I only need the front two base mats to hit all of my irons. If I ever use a driver or three wood and need more room/space from the grass, I would end up attaching the last two base pieces. I considered buying a Fiberbuilt square driving mat but I like the idea of breaking this down, throwing it in the trunk of my car and easily take it with me to a nearby park. I simply could not do that with a 4×4 or 5×5 square commercial mat. The extra adjustable tees are very easy to use and seem very durable…..so nice that I may order some extra of these Fiberbuilt adjustable tees to take with me to my local driving range. My only complaint (minor complaint) is that I wish there was a second hole in the grass so that I could move the tee just a little back towards the middle of my stance. There’s only one hole in the grass for the adjustable tee, but it’s more in line with your front foot/toes. Not bad, but another spot 1-2” back would be a great addition.

Not level
Miguel Ruiz is absolutely right. The ball sits an inch above the feet for every swing. I had to get my level out to see if it was accurate. And it definitely sits higher than the feet. Imagine every ball on a tee and that is what it is. While they will say it is to hit down at the ball, it is essentially hitting down at a ball that is tee’d up an inch which has effected my swing negatively. In order to make solid contact on a ball that is elevated an inch – you will have to adjust the swing. And I’m not sure if anyone would tee up a ball an inch with an iron club. Again it took several weeks before I noticed the difference but after going to the range and the course – it is apparently clear. This will alter your swing, negatively. I’m in the process of building a base to level out the entire practice station – essentially placing practice station on a base that is 1 inch higher and leaving the flight deck on the ground, hopefully that helps. It is extremely annoying for an otherwise great product. To say the feet are level with the hitting base is completely inaccurate and false marketing.

Greater for golfers learning to play
I bought this because I was hoping it would be easier on my elbows when I chunked it, which is more often than I’d care to admit. I originally had a standard 5′ x 4′ golf mat and due to my poor ability, I would have sharp pain in my right elbow after a round of practice. I bought this because I was hoping it would be more forgiving and it absolutely is. I can play 2 full rounds in the simulator a day and have no pain in my elbow.

Don’t believe other reviews…it is level.
Solid heavy rubber stance mat with the quality finerbuilt hitting mat. This mat is so much better than others because you can hit down and through simulating taking a divot. I have a hard time hitting on mats, but this one is great.
Also, this is level. I am not sure what the other couple reviews are talking about. Perhaps they work for a competitor company? It is perfectly setup for level hitting as multiple simulator forum threads can also attest.

Excellent golf mat
Very heavy and sturdy base – not going anywhere.
Same type of turf used by my club fitter. Can really hit down and compress the ball like real grass. Fat shots are punished, but don’t hurt your arms.
Alignment rod holes are a nice touch. I use them to help with takeaway and swing path.
Going to eventually get a Skytrak or Flightscope and use for a home sim setup. Only bad thing is that it will be tough to reverse if you’re playing with a lefty – like I mentioned, it’s very heavy.
Cheaper at Costco by a considerable margin – buy there if you can.

The Fiberbuilt grass on the mat provides a realistic feel and response, allowing golfers to swing down and through at impact just like they would on a real course. The 300,000 shot guarantee gives me peace of mind knowing that this product is built to last.
