3Bays Zone Golf Swing Analyzer
Great product. I purchased a hitting net, putting green and hitting matt from SIG as well as the 3Bays GSA. The GSA is awesome, provides lots of data and data points to allow me to focus on the parts of the swing that I need to improve. Also, the service from SIG was first class all the way!

3Bays swing analyzer
I sometimes struggle with several different aspects of my swing. The 3Bays analyzer has helped me to realize my tempo is not consistent, my swing path and club face orientation can be off and angle of approach can be off. When all good, the swing just feels right. When something is off, I can feel it but don’t know why. This analyzer helps me find the issue.
Thanks.

Good, but..
This is useful. It took awhile to understand all the stats. For example, I had a shaft lean of -5 to-8, and I thought that meant my shaft was leaning backwards at impact. Turns out, just the opposite is true. It also seems to underestimate my swing speed. I am an eight-handicapper, drive it 250 about 8 out of 10 drives, and so my driver speed cannot be as low as 85, which is what it says—I’m six-foot, athletic and in my thirties, not a 72-year-old grandmother. My real speed is at least 100, so it’s way off there. I think this must be a result of the “hand speed” it’s reporting at super low amounts (5-8 mph), when the average is somewhere well north of there. To be fair, I had the same problem with the clip-on-your-glove device from the competitor company, so there must be something weird about my swing.

Pleased with my GSA Zone
So far I have limited use with the Zone but really like it. I thought it was fairly accurate right out of the box. Put it on my 7 iron that I hit about 155-160 yrds normally. It was showing closer to 150 yrds on my better swings. What I liked most about it is seeing a 3D graphic of my swing to check that I’m on plane, and also to get information on how much forward shaft lean I have at impact. It also confirms that I am swinging on an inside path. I thought I was coming over the top a bit, but I’m not. If anything it’s pretty straight path through impact and at times I close my face down a bit and the device also gives me that feedback. Of course clubhead speed information helps me too. Overall, I feel all the information provided is helpful to fine tune my swing especially during the cold winter. I can practice swinging in my house and just hit plastic balls (or my birdie balls which feel like real balls to me) and get similar feedback about my swing without having to take the time going to the driving range. Would definitely buy again.

Sure hope this thing works – not impressed out of the box.
Just got it out of the box and read the manual. I’ll update this after I use it. The manual is definitely lacking. It’s a quick start guide – that’s it. Doesn’t tell how to interpret the data, how to hook up the data cable (which doesn’t come with it), how to change the battery, or anything else that might be helpful. I’m hoping their website will have more. The unit I got was most likely a return, as it wasn’t in the display box on the post designed for that purpose, but was in the carrying case and the battery was already installed.

Fantastic aid, just needs a little more to be perfect
Only used this on one 15 minute practice session but already I am converted. It immediately pointed out a glaring problem I had of coming down too steeply. Would never have figured this out on my own. I think this is a must have diagnostic and practice tool. Not 5 stars only because they could do a better job explaining some of the data points. For example you get a shaft lean % but nothing to explain if that number is good or bad, so it isn’t actionable. Also it is very hard to see if the LED light is on or flashing in daylight. I will definitely continue to use it and would highly recommend.

Does not seem to register swings all the time. …
Does not seem to register swings all the time. I use it indoor with a net so I have not used it out on a driving range to confirm distances.

I do not think it does, but if it did it probably wouldn’t be very accurate in that regard. Because it goes in the end of your club it’s very difficult to determine AOA from the butt end of the club when you have to figure in all of the other factors like shaft flex and bend points.

Moving naturally causes it to get in the perfect. Position at the top i’m not even thinking about my backswing. I’m just swinging the club. So let me go ahead and demonstrate with the ball.
5 Different Types Of Golf Swings
Swing Style 1: Rotational Based Swing. The rotational-based swing uses the body’s rotation more than anything else in the swing. …
Swing Style 2: Hands And Arms Based Swing. …
Swing Style 3: Separation Based Swing. …
Swing Style 4: Directing The Momentum Swing. …
Swing Style 5: Single Plane Swing.
Here’s the secret: Gravity creates constant acceleration. If you swing the club downward, it automatically accelerates. The problem is that most people stop the club when it hits the ball. Don’t hit at the ball; swing through it.
Craig Stadler, Craig Parry and many other champion golfers swing this way. Bruce Lietzke made a wonderful career on the PGA Tour with an “in-and-over” move.
Just your shoulder turn so this isn’t it as good position the top of the golf swing to go from here. And just rotate. You’ll notice that pretty much maintain that same angle.
A good golf swing has three parts: the backswing, impact position and follow through. The golf swing has three equal parts: the backswing, impact position and follow through. To swing effectively, the proper spine angle must be maintained during these three positions.
If you look at the golf swings of the great golfers over the past 100 years, you’ll start to see what Henry Cotton identified as three different types of releases, which are: Slap Hinge Release. Crossover Release. Push Release.
Well, a lot of that can be attributed to trying to have a different golf swing for each club. … His arms, legs, and core are moving the same regardless of the club in his hand. The only thing that is different is the position of the golf ball, the club he is using, and how far back he takes the golf club.
This is because the golf swing has been over analyzed to the point that natural movements that happen without thought are being taught as things you need to think about. And by you trying to sync all these tips into one movement that lasts less than 2 seconds … well, it becomes difficult.
