This is an awesome product to keep you busy during the winter months
This is an awesome product to keep you busy during the winter months. Just have reasonable expectations of what your getting. This is not a $6,000 simulator that reads the spin of the ball. It only measures the club path, angle, and speed, so it does not know if you hit the ball solid. The putting is more like a video game than a reality. But if you are looking for some reasonable feedback on a budget this is the way to go!

The OptiShot 2 is a great option for golfers looking to play indoors for less than $1000. It is a great choice for those who want to keep their game alive during the offseason or for beginners who want to improve their swing and break 100. The SkyTrak is more expensive but is still the overall best value for the price.

OptiShot advertises its accuracy range as being within 2 mph of club head speed, 1.5 degrees of face angle and 1.9 degrees of swing path.

The Golf in a Box includes an Infrared Optical Swing Pad, OptiShot2 Software (Download) with 15 Courses, USB Cable (10 ft.), Adjustable Rubber Tees, Two (2) Foam Practice Balls, OptiShot Hitting Mat, OptiShot Full Portable Hitting Net.

You can play OptiShot using a real golf ball, the included foam ball or no ball at all.

OptiShot cannot be used in direct sunlight. OptiShot is designed to be used indoors and must have the proper lighting conditions for its infrared sensors to function accurately.

Optishot only works with a Windows system (7, 8, or Vista). You can install any of those on your Apple with a program called “boot camp”. … Parallel is another program you can use to get Windows on your Apple but the graphics are not compatible with Optishot.

First off, the Optishot 2 is the newly released version of Optishot. The hardware is the same as Optishot 1, however it’s the software that is vastly improved. If you have an older version you can upgrade for $100. Optishot is a golf simulator that let’s you play full rounds on digital versions of real courses.

The Optishot2 ($499.95, optishotgolf.com) isn’t a video game. … You can choose to practice at a driving range, which is a good idea to get a feel for how the Optishot2 works. The mat has a plastic tee (replaceable) like you might find on a driving range, although you can hit off the turf or use your own tees if you like.
