Hello Elizabeth,

It is 12 at its widest point and probably shrinks down to 8 for the shape. The pictures aren’t always a good representation of the product, but it is definitely 12X12 at its biggest points.

Even if you don’t have the time to make it to the course, an indoor putting green is a great solution. Putting is arguably the most important part of your game as it usually makes up 35-55% of all your shots! But is usually the least practiced skill among golfers.

And Smith Portland Smith mix which is called pool base you can buy it pre-mixed at a pool store that’s what we’re going to put we’re gonna put an inch 1/2 of that in okay.

In fact, our pro putting green turf actually features an adjustable ball speed, and can be measured using a stimp meter. With putting green carpet, it just lays on top of an existing surface, so its ability to impact your short game is lacking. … If so, putting green carpet is definitely the best option.

Putting Green Size

While putting greens on the PGA Tour measure about 5,000 to 6,000 square feet, one can typically practice their entire short game on a green that is a fraction of this size. Most Tour Greens installations are over 1,000 square feet, but we have built greens of all sizes.

Putting mats are worth it because they give better feedback on your putting stroke. The weave and speed of home carpets make mats a better option for improving the two fundamentals of putting – straight hitting and distance control. Quality mats are available for under $100 making them great value.

For many, a putting green can be a great place to relax, have fun and also improve your golf game. It can also be a great addition for your backyard. You can enjoy the convenience of just stepping out of your back door and feeling like you’re at the golf course.
